Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation

Since 2000, the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation has been working with Fraser Valley communities to support local health care needs by raising funds for vital medical equipment and patient services at four acute care centres: MSA General Hospital in Abbotsford, Chilliwack General Hospital, Fraser Canyon Hospital in Hope and Mission Memorial Hospital. We also support the Agassiz Community Health Centre and other community based home, mental and public health programs. 

The Foundation has served the growing health care needs of our communities well, having raised over $7 million in its first seven years. Over $300,000 was raised in 2002 alone for a regional eye care centre within Chilliwack General Hospital.

We are proud to be a partner in this exciting initiative that will truly transform health care in our region.

BC Cancer Foundation

Founded in 1935, the BC Cancer Foundation is an independent charitable organization that raises and stewards funds to support breakthrough research and compassionate care at the world class BC Cancer Agency. The BC Cancer Agency is responsible for cancer care and control for everyone in BC through prevention; screening and early detection programs; research, education, care and treatment.

The BC Cancer Foundation has a strong presence in BC, with representation in each of the existing BC Cancer Agency facilities in Surrey, Kelowna, Victoria and Vancouver. We are known province-wide for recently having completed its $100 million Millennium Campaign to fund three projects: the recently opened BC Cancer Agency Research Centre in Vancouver, the Agency’s Deeley Research Centre in Victoria and the Agency’s Genome Sciences Centre.

We are honoured to work in partnership to enhance our services for all Fraser Valley residents.
